On January 21, Princess Ingrid Alexandra, daughter of Norway’s Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit, turned six years old. In honor of the occasion, the Royal Court released photos of the princess taken earlier in the week at her parents’ estate, Skaugum.

This oil painting of Prince William and Prince Harry by artist Nicky Phillips was unveiled at the National Portrait Gallery in London on January 6, 2010. It is the first double portrait painting of the royal brothers. What do you think of it? (I like it a lot.)

The late singer Michael Jackson commissioned an artist to paint a giant oil painting of him on horseback. Dressed in armor. Followed by cherubs. The finished work is called “Equestrian Portrait of King Philip II.”

Crown Princess Victoria is the heir to the Swedish throne. These photos were taken at the inauguration of the “Design S” exhibition of Swedish design at the Eugenides Foundation in Athens on September 10.
