It might be a lot of fun keeping the chat room. Just don’t let the bullies, who are out there and ready to destroy anything nice online, stay on. Have a tool where you can censor them and remove them if necessary. I see it in cooking chat rooms. Yeah, something as nice and wholesome can be destoyed by know-it-all bullies. Well, that’s what I think. Thank you.

Urbaine, thank you for visiting the chat room and commenting! You are right about the problems with troublemakers in chat rooms. It is important to me to keep the tone of the site pleasant, friendly, and fun.

Chatroll does offer the ability to ban people. Of course, I can’t be in the room all the time, but it is possible to appoint moderators.

It might also be a good idea to open the room only when there is big news to discuss – a royal wedding, for example…

I just wonder what language they all speak as a the recent wedding?

  4. Cinderella says:

That’s a good question, Agatha. I’d guess English since Prince Daniel delivered his wedding speech partly in English.

  5. Betti says:

    Happy birthday Harry

  6. Urbaine says:

I too have wondered what language they all speak when they get together. I know, for instance that King Harald, as the Queen’s second cousin, is fluent in English. The Queen of the Danes speaks very posh English and probably even better than the British Queen. Queen Sofia of Spain speaks English as does Beatrix so….. I imagine it is English they all speak. However that is just an educated guess. Anyone else?????

Cinderella, I like your idea of opening this up when big events come along.

  7. Urbaine says:

I am Canadian but was born and raised in England. A lot of my friends are formerly from England too and we always go out of our way to watch the British Royal Family events. But they sure are becoming a stuffy lot and went down-hill considerably when Charles married Camilla. You cannot fault the Queen but her family are another story.

Recently, we have been treated to weddings of the mainland European Royalty and they sure have livened up the place Now I – and my friends all – wait to see the European Royal events where there is style, panache and a goodly amount of diamonds. I cannot wait for the next wedding to come up. Does anyone have an idea whom it will be. My fingers are crossed. Yes, Virginia, there are other Royals out there.

  8. Cinderella says:

There is Prince Albert’s wedding to Charlene Wittstock next year. Certainly a long-awaited event!

  9. Urbaine says:

Yes, the Monaco wedding. That will be splendid. Evidently, Albert is a billionaire so they should pull out all the stops. But that is a long time off. Surely the Brits will supply us with more scandals before the wedding so we can all have delicious chats here. I cannot wait. :-)

  10. Betti says:

I love weddings, especially to see the pics so thanks too all that put them online they were very nice, and all the history pics to as well very interesting, and all of william and harry ….

Once again Wills and Kate are in the news with a potential wedding date in the offering – soon. The media – hey we’ll sell papers anyway we can – keep bringing this up and it has happened a few times before so, I will believe it when I see it.

Let me tell you what happened to me when i was twelve….i was at my grandmother’s house one day and went to the laundry room i saw a heavy brown chest as big as a trunk i asked my grandmother about it and she told me that it used to be my great-grandmother’s bridal chest then she said im welcome to have a look. i opened the chest and saw abunch of really old stuff, among them was a packet of papers and i new at once that they are really old because the paper’s coloring is the color of a old looking yellow and when i read it i nearly dropped the papers for i read that it is a geneology of our ancestors the first page started as THE ROYAL SHELTON FAMILY GENEOLOGY through Anne Boylenn, aunt of Queen elizabeth I

  13. Jennifer says:

I asked my grandmother why it said that and she told me that we are descendants of the ancient kings and queens of england before our time…i read on and the first king on there is Charlemagne king of the franks it told when he was born and died and where he is buried then it went on and talk about his cousins Charles and Baldwin, it disscuses how balwdin married and produced a son who carried out his name, then the son after his son had the same name and so on , but one day one of the baldwins have a daughter by the name of matilda who married william the conqueror and produced henry I the fisrt king of england , who had a son by the name of Henry the second who i understand found the Plantagenets, then henry II had henry II and john , who had EdwardI, who had edward II, who had Edward III and matilda, Princess Isabel married king Edward I , shes the daughter of the king of spain and aragon whose name is ferdinand

  14. Jennifer says:

but..yeah there’s more of my interesting family tree but i dont really want to fill out the entire page XD

  15. Urbaine says:

So, fun and games at St. James’ Palace. Wills finally proposed to Catherin. How neat is that? I think that it is great that he gave his Mom’s ring to Catherine and she seemed pleased with it.

Of course, it must be hard being them as already, one Brit MP has come out saying that their marriage will only last from seven to ten years. How awful for them to have to read this muck.

Anyway, we royal watchers have a huge wedding to look forward to watching. Tell us the date already and we can go to the pawn brokers to get the family silver back. :-)
