Cash compensation for Bangladesh’s child jockeys (2010 UPDATE: Sorry, this link has expired)

I remember receiving email from a visitor who was very upset about the plight of child jockeys in the United Arab Emirates. As I recall, she protested to the ruler of the UAE. I can’t find her contact info now, but I hope she sees this. Protests have paid off. Robot jockeys are now used instead of children. (I’m not kidding.)

“She laughed,” at Astor’s “mistress business” remark, [witness Vartan Gregorian] remembered. “Gracious.”
